Etiquette and Rules for Vendors

All New Vendors Pay a one-time $125 membership fee if accepted to the market.

Please carefully review the rules for the Lone Star Farmers Market, here are some general guidelines to follow:

  • Assume the market is still on, rain or shine, unless you receive notice from the organizers that it has been canceled due to extreme weather. Failure to show up to a market because of bad weather could result in a $25 penalty.

  • Be considerate of other vendors when unloading your equipment and supplies. Quickly unload and move your vehicle out of the way so that others have space to do the same. Please turn off your engine while unloading to avoid emitting harmful fumes into the environment.

  • You are responsible for bringing all necessary equipment for your setup, such as a canopy, tables, chairs, and so on. Please make sure that your canopy has weights of at least 30 pounds per leg to keep it secure. Our staff will inspect the canopies to ensure that they meet this requirement, so please come prepared

  • To ensure a smooth setup process, please keep in mind that some of the designated spaces may not be easily accessible by car. Please bring necessary equipment such as dollies to assist with hauling your items to your space. Once you have unloaded your vehicle, kindly move it to a designated parking area to avoid congestion and to allow other vendors to unload. During breakdown, please pack all your items, including your tent, and bring your vehicle to the designated loading area for efficient loading.

    • Set up your booth 15 minutes prior to the opening of the market.

  • Do not leave early. Wait for the market organizers to give permission to leave or pack up. If you sell out, use it as an opportunity to promote your brand by displaying a sign indicating you've sold out and directing shoppers to your website or next market date.

  • Keep your booth space within its allotted area, usually 10 x 10 feet, and avoid spilling out into walkways or other vendor's space.

  • If you plan to bring a quiet or silent generator, please inform us in advance. Such generators are permitted

  • Don't assume you'll always have the same spot. Market organizers may need to rearrange vendors based on the number of vendors that day and their products. If you are displaced from your usual spot, make sure to announce your new location through your social media channels.

  • By participating in the 2024 Lone Star Farmers Market, vendors acknowledge and accept any risks involved and hereby release Roots Outreach DBA Lone Star Farmers Market, it's owner Richie Romero and Garbos Lobster from any liability that may arise from the event or the use of Garbos Lobster premises. Vendors also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above parties from any accident, incident, injury, death or damage that may occur during the event. This indemnity is subject to the Rules and Regulations included in this application and those outlined.  Furthermore, if any part of a vendor's booth causes damage to any other property, the vendor will be solely responsible for such damage.
